Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain complex municipal records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all city regulations.
- Process and review incoming applications, permits, and official documents with high attention to detail.
- Provide exceptional customer service to citizens, vendors, and city officials via phone, email, and in-person.
- Prepare detailed reports and correspondence using Microsoft Office Suite and specialized database software.
- Assist in the organization and digitization of historical city archives and current operational files.
- Collaborate with department heads to streamline office workflows and improve service delivery.
- Perform data entry tasks with 99.9% accuracy and assist in budget tracking for departmental expenses.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Business Administration or Public Administration is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in clerical or administrative roles within a government or large organizational setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with database management systems (e.g., Salesforce, Accela).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with the public.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal government regulations regarding record-keeping is a plus.
