Responsibilities
- Lead strategic planning and implementation of digital transformation projects within the Central Government framework.
- Manage cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of integrity.
- Engage with key stakeholders, including ministers, senior officials, and external partners, to align departmental objectives with government policy.
- Oversee resource allocation and performance management for departmental programs.
- Ensure compliance with all government regulations, data protection laws, and equality standards.
- Represent the department at internal and external meetings, acting as a subject matter expert on policy implementation.
Qualifications
- Essential: Proven experience in a senior leadership role within the Public Sector or Central Government.
- Essential: A Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Management, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Essential: Strong knowledge of UK government processes, legislation, and the Civil Service Code.
- Desirable: Experience managing large-scale digital transformation or IT infrastructure projects.
- Desirable: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly.
- Desirable: Professional membership of a relevant body (e.g., CIPD, CIMA).
