Responsibilities
- Strategic planning and execution of county-wide operational initiatives
- Budget oversight for $2.5B annual portfolio with fiscal accountability
- Stakeholder management across 30+ departments and external partners
- Policy development and implementation aligned with county mission
- Crisis response coordination during emergency situations
- Performance management for 50+ direct and indirect reports
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field
- 10+ years progressive public sector leadership experience
- Proven track record in budget management and resource allocation
- Expertise in government compliance regulations (GASB, NC General Statutes)
- Advanced proficiency in data-driven decision making tools
- Strong crisis management and emergency response background
- PHR/SPHR certification preferred
