Responsibilities
- Manage case filing, docketing, and document processing for civil/criminal proceedings
- Provide in-person and virtual assistance to attorneys, litigants, and court staff
- Coordinate jury summons, orientation, and trial logistics
- Maintain accurate electronic and physical records per Alaska Court Rules
- Process payments, fees, and financial transactions using judicial systems
- Prepare official court orders, notices, and correspondence templates
- Train and mentor junior clerks on court procedures and software
Qualifications
- 3+ years of court clerk or legal administrative experience
- Proficiency with Alaska CourtView and e-filing systems
- Valid Alaska Notary Public commission (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Expert knowledge of Alaska Rules of Civil/Criminal Procedure
- Exceptional written/verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality under strict ethical guidelines
- High school diploma; paralegal certificate preferred
