Responsibilities
- Maintain and secure all court records, case files, and legal documentation with 100% accuracy
- Process filings, subpoenas, and court orders while adhering to strict judicial protocols
- Provide exceptional customer service to attorneys, litigants, and court personnel
- Coordinate with judges, attorneys, and law enforcement for hearing logistics
- Prepare judicial reports, statistical summaries, and compliance documentation
- Operate case management systems and maintain electronic filing databases
- Train new clerks on court procedures and record-keeping standards
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of court administration or legal records management experience
- Proficiency in Louisiana judicial procedures and legal terminology
- Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite and court-specific software (e.g., Odyssey)
- Valid Louisiana Notary Public commission or ability to obtain within 90 days
- Exceptional organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to manage confidential information with absolute discretion
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Associates degree in Criminal Justice, Paralegal Studies, or related field
