Responsibilities
- Conduct advanced threat detection and incident response for state IT systems
- Develop and implement security protocols across 50+ state agency networks
- Lead penetration testing and vulnerability assessments of critical infrastructure
- Collaborate with federal partners on threat intelligence sharing initiatives
- Maintain compliance with NIST and state security frameworks
- Train state employees on cybersecurity best practices
- Manage SIEM tools and security automation workflows
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in IT/Cybersecurity or equivalent experience (5+ years)
- CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ certification required
- Expertise in threat intelligence and SIEM platforms (Splunk/QRadar)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP) frameworks
- Knowledge of Colorado state IT security policies and regulations
- Strong incident response documentation and reporting skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain government security clearance
- Experience leading cross-functional security initiatives
