Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive security assessments and risk analyses for federal systems.
- Develop and implement security protocols to protect sensitive government data.
- Lead incident response efforts to mitigate cyber attacks and breaches.
- Oversee the configuration and hardening of network infrastructure and endpoints.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure compliance with federal regulations (e.g., NIST, FISMA).
- Monitor security alerts and provide detailed reporting to senior leadership.
- Train junior staff on cybersecurity best practices and compliance standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
- Certification: CISSP, CISM, or similar professional security certification.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal cybersecurity or information assurance.
- Strong knowledge of network security concepts, firewalls, and encryption technologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder reporting.
