Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain complex data models and analytical frameworks to support strategic decision-making for state agencies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop actionable dashboards using Tableau and Power BI.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with state privacy regulations and federal standards (e.g., FISMA).
- Conduct deep-dive statistical analysis to uncover trends, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvement within government operations.
- Present technical findings and recommendations to executive leadership and non-technical stakeholders in a clear, persuasive manner.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related field within the public sector or a complex data environment.
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation, and experience with visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
- Strong understanding of data governance, data quality management, and federal/state data security protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
