As a Senior Data Analyst, you will serve as the bridge between complex data sets and strategic policy implementation. Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain complex data models and databases to support state-wide reporting requirements.
- Collect, clean, and validate large datasets from various internal and external sources to ensure accuracy and integrity.
- Create interactive dashboards and visualizations using BI tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI) to present data findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Conduct statistical analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for operational improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and optimize reporting workflows.
- Write clear, concise documentation for data pipelines and analytical methodologies.
- Ensure compliance with state data governance policies and security protocols.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Public Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related technical role.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Strong experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI, Qlik).
- Experience working with government data systems and understanding of public sector compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
