Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end analysis of complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement within state operations.
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and visualizations using Tableau, Power BI, or similar BI tools to support executive decision-making.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders, including policy makers, program managers, and IT staff, to define data requirements and reporting needs.
- Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and security of all data processed and reported in compliance with state regulations and federal standards.
- Conduct thorough data quality checks and perform statistical analysis to validate findings and recommend corrective actions.
- Communicate complex data insights and recommendations clearly and concisely to non-technical audiences through presentations and documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or data science within a government or corporate environment.
- Expert proficiency in SQL for querying relational databases and extracting complex datasets.
- Strong experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik Sense.
- Experience with programming languages such as Python or R for advanced data manipulation and analysis.
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
