Responsibilities
- Define and manage the product roadmap for key digital services, ensuring alignment with government strategic objectives.
- Lead cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and subject matter experts, to deliver high-quality products.
- Conduct extensive user research and data analysis to validate assumptions and drive product decisions.
- Ensure all products meet strict accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA) and regulatory compliance.
- Manage stakeholder expectations effectively, communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Drive the continuous improvement of processes, championing Agile and Lean methodologies.
- Mentor junior product managers and contribute to the team's technical and product knowledge base.
Qualifications
- Proven experience (5+ years) as a Digital Product Manager or Product Owner in a complex, regulated environment.
- Demonstrable experience working within the public sector or government body.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, specifically Scrum and Kanban.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Business, Public Policy) or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience with government digital frameworks (e.g., GDS Standards) is highly desirable.
