Responsibilities
- Develop evidence-based environmental policies aligned with NY's Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act
- Analyze regulatory impacts using GIS mapping and statistical modeling tools
- Coordinate with federal EPA, local municipalities, and environmental NGOs
- Prepare legislative testimony and agency reports for the State Legislature
- Lead cross-functional teams on environmental justice initiatives
- Monitor emerging contaminants and public health implications
- Manage grant programs for green infrastructure projects
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Environmental Science, Public Policy, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or non-profit
- Expert knowledge of NEPA, Clean Air Act, and NYS Environmental Conservation Law
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (R, Python) and GIS platforms
- Proven track record of developing environmental regulations
- NY State residency required within 90 days of hire
- Valid NYS driver's license
