Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret large-scale federal datasets using SQL, Python, and R to identify trends and support strategic initiatives
- Develop interactive dashboards and visualizations using Tableau/Power BI for executive briefings
- Ensure compliance with federal data standards (FISMA, HIPAA) and security protocols
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams to design data-driven solutions for veteran services
- Present findings to senior leadership through concise, data-driven narratives
- Maintain data integrity through rigorous validation and documentation processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of professional data analysis experience with federal/multi-agency data
- Expert proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas, NumPy), and statistical modeling
- Advanced certification in Tableau or Power BI
- Active Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Proven track record of translating complex data into policy recommendations
- Experience with VA-specific data systems (e.g., VistA, CDW) highly desirable
