Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret large-scale federal datasets using SQL, Python, and R to support homeland security operations
- Design and implement automated data pipelines ensuring compliance with federal regulations (HIPAA, FISMA)
- Create interactive dashboards using Tableau/Power BI for executive stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams to develop predictive models for threat assessment
- Present findings to senior leadership with clear, data-driven recommendations
- Maintain data integrity through rigorous validation protocols and documentation
- Stay current on evolving federal data privacy standards and security protocols
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in federal government data analysis with security clearance eligibility
- Expert proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas/NumPy), and statistical modeling
- Certification in Tableau or Power BI with portfolio of federal dashboards
- Demonstrated experience with ETL processes and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Deep understanding of federal data governance frameworks (e.g., OMB Circular A-130)
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with ability to communicate complex findings to non-technical audiences
- U.S. citizenship required with ability to obtain DHS security clearance
