Responsibilities
- Data Mining & Processing: Extract, clean, and analyze large-scale federal datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies using SQL, Python, and R.
- Visualization: Create compelling dashboards and reports in Tableau and PowerBI to communicate complex findings to non-technical stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Compliance & Security: Ensure all data handling processes adhere to NIST 800-171 security standards and federal privacy regulations.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with government program managers to define data requirements and develop KPIs that align with agency objectives.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of data models, scripts, and analysis methodologies for audit purposes.
- Project Support: Support the full project lifecycle, from requirements gathering to final delivery of analytical products.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Information Systems, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in data analysis, specifically within the federal or government sector.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL (Advanced), Python, and experience with ETL processes.
- Tools: Strong working knowledge of Tableau, PowerBI, or similar visualization tools.
- Security Clearance: Active Top Secret or Secret clearance is highly desired.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical data to diverse audiences.
