Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and interpret large, complex datasets from various federal systems and external sources.
- Design and maintain interactive dashboards using Tableau and Power BI to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs) and mission metrics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data requirements, resolve discrepancies, and support high-level decision-making processes.
- Ensure strict adherence to federal compliance standards (e.g., FISMA, NIST) regarding data security, integrity, and privacy.
- Write clear, concise reports and technical documentation for both executive stakeholders and technical teams.
- Perform advanced statistical analysis and predictive modeling to forecast trends and support mission objectives.
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to the continuous improvement of data analysis methodologies within the department.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in data analysis, preferably within the federal government or defense contracting sector.
- Proficiency in SQL for complex data extraction, manipulation, and querying.
- Experience with Python or R for advanced data analysis and scripting.
- Strong working knowledge of data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret or Top Secret security clearance.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
