Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage secure network architectures for federal clients in accordance with NIST and FISMA standards.
  • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and remediate security gaps.
  • Oversee the configuration and maintenance of Firewalls, IDS/IPS, and other network security appliances.
  • Provide expert technical guidance to junior staff and act as the primary point of contact for security incident response.
  • Maintain compliance with DoD directives, including NISPOM and DFARS, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy cloud solutions (AWS/Azure) with a focus on data sovereignty and security.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GCFA are highly desirable.
  • Active Top Secret clearance with Polygraph is required.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in federal IT environments or large-scale enterprise cybersecurity.
  • Strong working knowledge of Cisco, Palo Alto, and Microsoft network infrastructure.
  • Experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and log analysis.
