Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end processing of federal pension applications, ensuring accuracy in benefit calculations and timely disbursement.
- Ensure full compliance with FERS (Federal Employees Retirement System) and CSRS (Civil Service Retirement System) regulations and guidelines.
- Conduct internal audits and reviews of pension documentation to mitigate risk and ensure regulatory adherence.
- Provide expert consultation to federal employees and retirees regarding eligibility, vesting, and payout options.
- Investigate and resolve complex pension discrepancies and customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Prepare comprehensive reports for federal oversight bodies and internal management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Human Resources; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal benefits administration or pension plan management.
- Deep understanding of ERISA, FERS, and CSRS laws and regulations.
- Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in federal HRIS systems and data management software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client-facing interactions.
