Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end architectural design of cloud-based federal systems, ensuring alignment with FedRAMP and NIST standards.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and implement security controls to protect sensitive government data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams of developers, engineers, and stakeholders to define technical requirements and system roadmaps.
- Mentor junior architects and engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
- Oversee the migration of legacy systems to modern cloud environments, optimizing performance and scalability.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal acquisition regulations (FAR) and internal quality assurance protocols.
- Present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and government clients in a clear, professional manner.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in systems architecture, specifically within the federal or government contracting sector.
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one is required.
- Deep expertise in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) with a focus on federal compliance.
- Strong proficiency in DevOps methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
