Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning to identify disruptive technologies, market shifts, and socio-economic trends impacting 2026+ landscapes
- Develop and publish comprehensive trend reports and scenario-planning frameworks for executive decision-making
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops to embed foresight into product development and corporate strategy
- Build and maintain a global network of futurists, technologists, and industry thought leaders
- Translate complex future projections into actionable business recommendations with quantified impact assessments
- Represent the organization at global forums on future-focused topics including AI ethics, climate adaptation, and human augmentation
- Mentor junior futurists and establish best practices for strategic foresight methodologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or future-focused leadership roles
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, Technology Policy, or related field
- Proven track record of translating foresight into commercial success or policy impact
- Deep expertise in emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech) and their societal implications
- Exceptional storytelling and data visualization skills to communicate complex futures
- Experience with scenario planning tools (e.g., Causal Layered Analysis, Delphi Method)
- Published thought leadership in futurism or strategic innovation (white papers, books, keynotes)
- Ability to thrive in ambiguity and navigate complex, multi-stakeholder environments
