This role sits at the intersection of foresight research and corporate strategy, requiring you to anticipate market disruptions and position our organization as a thought leader in emerging technologies.
As a key member of our Innovation Council, you'll collaborate with C-suite executives, lead cross-functional futurist teams, and publish industry-defining white papers. Your insights will directly influence our $2B R&D portfolio and shape how we navigate the next decade of technological evolution.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive 2026 technology foresight framework using horizon scanning and trend analysis
- Lead scenario-planning workshops to prepare for disruptive innovations in quantum AI and biotech convergence
- Produce executive-level strategic briefings on emerging risks and opportunities in next-gen computing
- Establish partnerships with MIT Media Lab, Singularity University, and other futurist research institutions
- Design and implement ethical AI governance protocols for 2026 autonomous systems deployment
- Mentor junior futurists while maintaining thought leadership through keynote speaking and published research
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or emerging technology research
- Proven track record of publishing influential trend reports (e.g., Gartner, Forrester)
- Deep expertise in quantum computing, neuromorphic AI, or climate-tech adaptation
- Experience with Delphi methodology and cross-industry scenario planning
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or related field
- Proficiency in futures forecasting tools (e.g., Foresight Platform, Trendalyzer)
- Portfolio of at least 3 technology roadmaps implemented with measurable ROI
