Responsibilities
- Develop and implement forward-looking innovation strategies aligned with 2026 technological projections
- Analyze emerging trends across AI, biotech, quantum computing, and climate tech to identify disruptive opportunities
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping next-gen solutions with 5-10 year commercialization horizons
- Present strategic insights to executive stakeholders and board members through data-driven narratives
- Establish partnerships with research institutions and industry pioneers to accelerate innovation pipelines
- Design and manage horizon-scanning frameworks to anticipate paradigm shifts
- Mentor junior futurists and cultivate a culture of strategic foresight
Qualifications
- 10+ years in innovation strategy, R&D leadership, or futurist consulting
- Proven track record translating future trends into successful commercial initiatives
- Expertise in at least two emerging technology domains (AI, quantum, biotech, etc.)
- Exceptional systems thinking and scenario-planning capabilities
- Advanced degree in Technology, Business, or Futures Studies (PhD preferred)
- Published thought leadership in innovation or futurism (articles, books, whitepapers)
- Experience advising C-suite executives on long-term strategic positioning
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ successful future-oriented projects
