Responsibilities
- Develop long-term technology forecasts and innovation roadmaps targeting 2026 market readiness
- Lead cross-functional workshops with C-suite executives to align future-state strategies
- Author white papers and thought leadership on emerging tech trends (AI ethics, biotech convergence)
- Manage $2M+ R&D budgets for experimental projects in quantum and synthetic biology
- Partner with venture capital arm to identify and acquire breakthrough startups
- Present findings at global tech summits (Web Summit, CES) and secure media partnerships
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or R&D leadership
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or related field
- Published author in technology forecasting (IEEE, Nature Futures journal)
- Expertise in horizon scanning and scenario planning methodologies
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies
- Certification in Technology Foresight (TF) or Strategic Foresight (SF)
- Fluency in at least two analytical frameworks (e.g., Delphi, STEEP-V)
