Responsibilities
- Develop and publish annual 2026 Innovation Outlook reports with quantitative market predictions
- Lead cross-functional 'Future Scenario' workshops with R&D, product, and investment teams
- Identify emerging tech disruptions (quantum computing, synthetic biology, AGI) and create mitigation/adoption frameworks
- Forge strategic partnerships with academic institutions and government innovation labs
- Present futures insights to Fortune 500 clients and TED-style conferences
- Oversee patent strategy for breakthrough technologies targeting 2026 commercialization
- Mentor junior futurists using proprietary foresight methodologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in innovation strategy, futures research, or equivalent technical leadership
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies (portfolio required)
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or relevant STEM field
- Deep expertise in at least two of: AI governance, climate tech, or neurotech
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals or industry white papers
- Proficiency in futures forecasting tools (Delphi, Horizon Scanning, Causal Layered Analysis)
- Exceptional communication skills with executive audiences
- Certification in Strategic Foresight or equivalent preferred
