What You Will Do:
Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis on economic trends and trade regulations in the Miami metropolitan area.
- Liaise with UK businesses, local government officials, and international partners to identify new trade opportunities.
- Prepare high-level briefing notes, policy papers, and presentations for senior ministers and stakeholders.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of trade policies on the UK-Miami economic corridor.
- Represent the Department at internal and external meetings, acting as a subject matter expert on regional trade dynamics.
- Manage stakeholder relationships to ensure effective communication and alignment of objectives.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a relevant field, such as government, public policy, economics, or international relations.
- A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a related discipline; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- Strong understanding of UK government structures and public sector processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and government reporting software.
- Willingness to travel for conferences and stakeholder meetings.
