Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor agile squads to deliver high-quality digital services that meet UK government standards.
- Define and execute the product roadmap in alignment with government strategic objectives.
- Ensure compliance with data protection regulations (GDPR) and accessibility standards (WCAG).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, developers, and policy makers.
- Conduct regular retrospectives to drive continuous improvement in team performance and processes.
- Stakeholder management: communicate progress and risks to senior leadership effectively.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in digital service delivery, IT project management, or software engineering within the public or private sector.
- Proven experience leading Agile or Scrum teams and working within a DevOps environment.
- Strong understanding of the UK Government Digital Service (GDS) standards and patterns.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to make decisions under pressure.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
