Responsibilities
- Research and identify relevant grant opportunities from federal agencies, private foundations, and corporate sponsors
- Develop compelling, data-driven grant proposals aligned with organizational priorities
- Manage full grant lifecycle: prospecting, writing, submission, reporting, and stewardship
- Cultivate relationships with program staff to gather impact metrics and success stories
- Maintain accurate grant calendars and ensure timely submission of all applications
- Analyze funding trends and prepare grant budgets with financial team
- Write compelling grant reports that demonstrate measurable community impact
Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional grant writing experience with 501(c)(3) organizations
- Proven track record of securing $500K+ annually in diversified funding sources
- Expertise in researching and applying for government grants (e.g., SAM.gov)
- Exceptional writing/editing skills with ability to translate complex data into persuasive narratives
- Proficiency with grant databases (e.g., Instrumentl, GrantStation) and CRM systems
- Strong understanding of nonprofit financial management and budget development
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, Nonprofit Management, or related field
