Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise-grade security architectures for federal systems.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits to identify and mitigate risks.
- Ensure compliance with federal regulations, including FISMA, HIPAA, and CJIS requirements.
- Respond to security incidents and manage the incident response lifecycle, including forensics and recovery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Provide expert guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and junior staff on security protocols.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or similar certification is required.
- Active Top Secret (TS) or Top Secret/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a polygraph.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in information security, specifically within the federal government sector.
- Strong knowledge of network security protocols (IPSec, SSL/TLS), firewalls, and IDS/IPS.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash for automated security tasks.
