Responsibilities
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex information systems and databases to support government operations.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions that enhance efficiency and service delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the integrity, security, and performance of IT infrastructure.
- Conduct regular system audits and provide technical guidance to junior staff and non-technical stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all system architectures and processes.
- Manage vendor relationships and ensure contracts align with state regulations and budgetary constraints.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning and execute system backups to ensure business continuity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems analysis, software development, or IT project management within a government or large enterprise environment.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#.
- Strong understanding of database management systems (SQL) and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
- Experience with government compliance standards, cybersecurity protocols, and data privacy laws.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation (as travel to various state facilities may be required).
