Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), ensuring timely and within-budget delivery of state-wide IT projects.
- Manage stakeholder relationships, including executive leadership, agency partners, and the general public, ensuring transparent communication.
- Ensure strict compliance with state regulations, ISO standards, and federal procurement guidelines.
- Utilize Agile/Scrum methodologies to drive project velocity, facilitate sprint planning, and conduct retrospectives.
- Identify project risks and develop strategic mitigation plans to minimize operational disruptions.
- Oversee resource allocation, budget management, and performance metrics reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent credential is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience managing large-scale IT projects in a government or public sector environment.
- Proven experience with Microsoft Project, Jira, or similar project management tools.
- Strong understanding of federal and state IT governance policies, security standards, and compliance requirements.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex organizational dynamics.
