Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, design, and implementation of complex IT systems and infrastructure projects for state agencies.
- Provide advanced technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to junior staff and end-users.
- Ensure compliance with state security policies, data privacy regulations, and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process improvements and optimize system performance.
- Conduct thorough system audits and risk assessments to mitigate potential security vulnerabilities.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee contract deliverables for technical services.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in information technology, system analysis, or network administration.
- Proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and virtualization technologies.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and federal/state compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, FERPA).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Certification such as PMP, CompTIA Security+, or CISSP is a plus.
