Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain the City’s network infrastructure, ensuring high availability and security.
- Monitor system performance and conduct regular audits to identify potential vulnerabilities or outages.
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Collaborate with department heads to align IT solutions with organizational goals and business requirements.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee IT project implementation and timelines.
- Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for IT operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in network administration or systems engineering.
- Valid Driver’s License required.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, or Cisco CCNA are highly preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
