Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the city's network infrastructure, ensuring 99.9% uptime and optimal performance.
- Implement and monitor advanced cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive citizen data and government assets.
- Lead the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software solutions across various municipal departments.
- Conduct system audits, performance analysis, and troubleshooting to identify areas for technical improvement.
- Collaborate with external vendors and partners to resolve complex technical issues and manage service contracts.
- Provide technical mentorship and training to junior staff members and department heads.
- Develop comprehensive documentation for IT processes, standard operating procedures, and disaster recovery plans.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure management, system administration, or network engineering.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure), and cybersecurity best practices.
- Experience working within the public sector or government compliance standards (e.g., FISMA, NIST).
- Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to work independently, and strong communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a standard background check and drug screening.
