Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex IT systems and network infrastructure.
- Lead incident response and disaster recovery planning for state critical assets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize legacy systems.
- Conduct security audits and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior staff and resolve escalated technical issues.
- Manage vendor relationships and software licensing agreements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in IT systems administration or network engineering.
- Proficiency with Windows Server, Linux, and virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and cybersecurity best practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder reporting.
