Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, design, and implementation of complex IT infrastructure projects across state agencies.
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network systems.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal and state cybersecurity standards and data privacy regulations (e.g., CalOHS, HIPAA).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize legacy systems and improve operational efficiency.
- Conduct thorough system audits and risk assessments to mitigate potential security threats.
- Mentor junior IT staff and foster a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee the procurement of technology solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management or systems administration within a government or large enterprise environment.
- Certifications such as CISSP, PMP, or AWS Solutions Architect are highly preferred.
- Deep knowledge of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure) and virtualization technologies.
- Strong understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and Agile methodologies.
