Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain robust enterprise IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and cloud environments.
- Lead cybersecurity initiatives to protect sensitive citizen data and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Oversee the deployment of new software applications and digital tools to streamline government operations.
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for internal staff and external partners.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify technical requirements and drive project delivery.
- Conduct regular system audits and performance monitoring to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and standard operating procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, or a related government sector role.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Valid IT certification such as CompTIA Security+, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or equivalent.
- Proven experience in project management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues under pressure.
- Strong communication skills, capable of translating technical jargon for non-technical stakeholders.
