Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain the County’s Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) to ensure maximum uptime and security.
- Provide advanced technical troubleshooting and support for hardware, software, and network infrastructure issues.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls within Active Directory environments.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify technical requirements and recommend scalable solutions.
- Monitor system performance, conduct regular backups, and implement disaster recovery protocols.
- Train staff on new software applications and best practices for cybersecurity hygiene.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive experience in IT support, systems administration, or network engineering.
- Valid certification such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, TCP/IP, and network hardware.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends during critical system updates.
