Key Duties:
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex IT infrastructure solutions to support county operations.
- Lead the migration and management of cloud-based resources (AWS/Azure) and on-premise servers.
- Oversee cybersecurity protocols, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Provide expert-level troubleshooting and technical support for internal departments and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with vendors and third-party contractors to optimize software and hardware performance.
- Conduct regular system audits and performance analysis to identify areas for improvement.
- Mentor and train junior IT staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in systems administration or network engineering.
- Strong proficiency in Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or CISSP are highly preferred.
- Proven ability to manage projects within strict timelines and budgets.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for translating technical jargon for non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a government environment with diverse teams.
