Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, design, and implementation of complex IT systems and infrastructure projects.
- Ensure strict compliance with state cybersecurity protocols and data protection regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify technical requirements and optimize business processes.
- Provide high-level technical guidance and mentorship to junior analysts and developers.
- Conduct thorough system performance analysis and troubleshoot critical technical issues.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee third-party IT service delivery.
- Prepare detailed reports and technical documentation for executive stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in IT project management and system architecture.
- Certification such as PMP, CompTIA Security+, or AWS Solutions Architect is highly desirable.
- Proven experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Strong knowledge of network security, virtualization, and enterprise software solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate technical jargon for non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-stakes government environment.
