Responsibilities
- Monitor federal network traffic and security systems 24/7 to detect and mitigate potential threats.
- Perform routine maintenance and patch management on critical federal servers and applications during off-peak hours.
- Respond to and troubleshoot alerts and incidents reported during the night shift with minimal supervision.
- Document system configurations, incidents, and resolutions in compliance with federal IT governance standards.
- Collaborate with day-shift teams to ensure seamless handover of critical issues and status updates.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on internal systems.
Qualifications
- Clearance: Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with SCI access is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT support or cybersecurity within a federal or defense contracting environment.
- Shift Availability: Must be willing and able to work rotating night shifts (00:00 - 08:00).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; or equivalent military experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar), firewalls, and remote access protocols (VPN/RDP).
