Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, design, and implementation of complex IT infrastructure projects and software applications.
- Ensure the security, integrity, and availability of sensitive government data and systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including policy makers and external vendors, to deliver technical solutions.
- Conduct system performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation, including architecture diagrams and operational procedures.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff and technical interns.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in IT systems analysis, design, or development within a government or large enterprise environment.
- Proven experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and modern DevOps practices.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, data privacy regulations (e.g., CalOEHHS standards), and IT governance frameworks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to translate complex technical requirements into user-friendly solutions.
- Valid California Driver’s License and a satisfactory background check are required.
