We are looking for a visionary IT professional to manage our critical infrastructure and drive digital transformation across city departments.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure network infrastructure and server environments for city departments.
- Oversee the administration of virtualization platforms and cloud services (Azure/AWS) to ensure optimal performance and cost-efficiency.
- Monitor system health, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and implement disaster recovery protocols.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and software solutions that enhance government services.
- Conduct regular security audits and implement cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive citizen data.
- Train and mentor junior IT staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
- Manage vendor relationships and ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met for external IT support.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in network administration, systems engineering, or IT management.
- Strong proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, and Linux environments.
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS) and virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Valid CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification is highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced government environment.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
