Responsibilities
- Analyze complex federal datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies using SQL, Python, and R
- Develop interactive dashboards and visualizations for executive decision-making
- Ensure compliance with federal data security protocols (FISMA, HIPAA) and reporting standards
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams to design data-driven solutions for public safety initiatives
- Present findings to senior leadership through concise executive summaries and data narratives
- Maintain and optimize data pipelines using ETL tools (e.g., Apache Airflow)
- Support audits by preparing documentation and metadata for data lineage
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of professional data analysis experience with federal datasets
- Expert proficiency in SQL and at least one statistical programming language (Python/R)
- Familiarity with federal data governance frameworks (e.g., OMB Circular A-130)
- Strong experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance (must start immediately)
