Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex IT infrastructure solutions for New York City government agencies.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal and state cybersecurity regulations, including FISMA and NIST standards.
- Lead modernization efforts to migrate legacy systems to secure, scalable cloud environments (AWS, Azure).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver enterprise-wide software solutions and technical support.
- Conduct system performance analysis, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and optimize resource allocation.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee third-party service contracts to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and disaster recovery plans.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure management within a government, military, or large enterprise environment.
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, or PMP are highly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V), and cloud platforms.
- Deep understanding of network protocols, security architecture, and disaster recovery best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
