Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex IT infrastructure solutions to support state agency operations.
- Oversee network security protocols and conduct vulnerability assessments to protect sensitive government data.
- Provide advanced technical troubleshooting and support for hardware, software, and cloud-based systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize legacy systems and integrate emerging technologies.
- Develop and deliver technical documentation, training materials, and best practice guidelines for staff.
- Monitor system performance and optimize resources to ensure 99.9% uptime and reliability.
- Ensure strict compliance with state and federal IT regulations and standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent technical experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in IT support, systems administration, or network engineering.
- Strong proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) and database management (SQL).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) and virtualization technologies is highly preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License and ability to travel to various state facilities as needed.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening as required for state employment.
