Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams in the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale IT projects, ensuring alignment with state strategic goals.
- Manage project lifecycles from initiation through closure, including budgeting, resource allocation, and risk management.
- Facilitate effective communication between technical teams, executive stakeholders, and legislative bodies.
- Implement and monitor Agile and Waterfall methodologies to optimize project workflows and delivery timelines.
- Conduct regular status reporting and present progress updates to senior leadership and the public sector board.
- Ensure all projects comply with state regulations, security protocols, and industry best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is required; Master’s degree preferred.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or PgMP (Program Management Professional) certification is mandatory.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in IT project management, with a strong preference for experience within the public sector or government.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, or ServiceNow.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
