Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and closing of IT projects from conception to delivery, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Manage project budgets, resources, and timelines to ensure deliverables meet quality standards and are delivered on time.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including executive leadership, technical teams, and vendor partners.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Ensure strict compliance with state government policies, regulations, and security standards (FedRAMP, etc.).
- Facilitate Agile/Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, and retrospectives to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in the public sector or IT industry.
- Proven experience managing complex IT projects with budgets exceeding $500k.
- PMP, PgMP, or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Public Administration, or related field.
