Position reports to the Director of IT Modernization and requires expertise in Agile methodologies, stakeholder management, and enterprise-scale project delivery. Ideal candidates possess 5+ years of progressive IT project leadership experience in government or regulated industries.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project lifecycles for state infrastructure modernization initiatives
- Develop and maintain project roadmaps, budgets, and resource allocation plans
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across state agencies and vendor partners
- Ensure compliance with Ohio IT standards, security protocols, and accessibility requirements
- Implement Agile/Scrum methodologies with Jira and Confluence tools
- Present project status to executive stakeholders and the Ohio Technology Leadership Council
- Manage vendor relationships and contract deliverables for $2M+ projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of IT project management experience with PMP certification required
- Proven expertise in enterprise-level software development and infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of Ohio state procurement processes and IT governance frameworks
- Exceptional communication skills for executive reporting and stakeholder engagement
- Experience managing projects involving sensitive citizen data and HIPAA/GDPR compliance
- Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet)
- Ohio residency required within 90 days of hire
