Responsibilities
- Project Governance: Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for federal and state agencies, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
- Resource Allocation: Manage cross-functional teams, including developers, analysts, and vendors, to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
- Compliance & Risk: Ensure all projects adhere to federal regulations (FISMA, FedRAMP) and state privacy laws.
- Agile Leadership: Lead Agile/Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, and retrospectives to drive continuous improvement.
- Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, forecast costs, and manage financial reporting.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of project management experience in government, defense, or public sector IT environments.
- Certification: PMP, PgMP, or equivalent advanced certification is required.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of federal IT frameworks, cloud migration (AWS/Azure), and cybersecurity standards.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and conflict resolution abilities in a high-stakes environment.
- Location: Must be willing to work in Sacramento, CA (On-site or Hybrid).
