In this role, you will oversee complex software development and infrastructure projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and exceed stakeholder expectations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, federal agencies, and private sector partners to drive digital transformation across the state.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end project lifecycle, from initiation and planning to execution, monitoring, and closure.
- Manage budgets, resources, and risks for multiple concurrent IT initiatives.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal (FISMA) and state government regulations and procurement policies.
- Communicate effectively with executive leadership, technical teams, and non-technical stakeholders.
- Implement Agile and Waterfall methodologies to drive project efficiency and quality.
- Facilitate regular status meetings, sprint reviews, and stakeholder presentations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in IT project management within the public sector or large enterprise environments.
- PMP, CAPM, or PgMP certification is strongly required.
- Deep understanding of Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) compliance and ITIL best practices.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale software deployments and system integrations.
- Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
